Testing…

Hello once again to the world of blogging. I use to have a blog, waaay back before the general public even knew what one was… But that was in high school and I stopped blogging once I left home to see the world and have big adventures. 😉

I’ve been inspired to start blogging again since a whole new world has opened up to me. The world of homesteading, self-suffiency, homemaking, and frugal living. I’ve always had those inclinations, but I recently found this movement of homemakers on the internet who actually take pride in their domestic skills and their families. Wow. What a novel concept.

While we don’t have children, yet (it’ll happen sooner versus later, Lord willing), I’ve always been committed to the idea of being a Stay at Home Mom and caring for a household. However, as many of you know, it’s very difficult to find other like-minded individuals in our culture today.

I started having all these dreams of composting, chickens, gardens, canning, milk cows, and fruit trees last year when we bought our first home- an old farmhouse with outbuildings on 67 acres. I was thrilled to find other women who actually are interested in these things. Sooo, I have started this blog with the hopes of learning as much as I can and sharing our own journey into a different way of living. Enjoy!
